BACKGROUND: LinkPERSONALITY: Moses is, to put it gently, a man of hidden depths. At first glance, he's rash, temperamental, irresponsible and generally idiotic. He frequently acts according to impulse and instinct, without regard for caution or logic. The vast majority of what comes out of his mouth is stupid jokes, dirty comments, boasts, and other thoughts that don't seem to be filtered at all. On top of that, he's wildly uncivilized, preferring to camp out rather than live in a house, and has no regard for the law. In fact, he doesn't seem to take anything seriously at all.
At second glance, however...well, he's still rash and temperamental. But beneath the impulsive exterior is a loyal man, willing to lay down his life for those who look up to him without a second thought. When it comes to defending his own, he is dedicated and clever. As a leader, he shows charisma and confidence, as well as compassion. His followers are his family, rather than just subordinates. And to him, family is the most important thing in the world, to the point where he will happily help someone with no expectation of repayment if they tell him they're doing something for the sake of family, such as when he decided to help Senel in a rescue operation purely because he said the woman being pursued was his sister. Even from childhood, he displayed true courage in risking his life to rescue Giet from an Eggbear, and loyalty in choosing to stay with his new companion even though it meant exile from his village.
Even beyond that, he proves himself to be a very soft and emotional person, completely at odds with his savage and barbaric appearance. Despite his constant boasts of manliness, he's not ashamed to cry or show fear. It could be said that he wears his heart on his proverbial sleeve, whether he's angry, sad or touched. It wouldn't be inaccurate to call him passionate in everything he does, even as he seems to follow his whims and act with no worthwhile motivation most of the time. In truth, he's simply playful, acting according to whatever entertains him at the moment and putting his heart into even that. And when he finds something he feels strongly about, he won't back down for anything, even insisting on treating Jay like a little brother despite the boy's constant efforts to push him away, and the frequent squabbles this leads to.
He is not, however, an entirely nice man. Though friendly and warm to those he meets as friends or allies, he is not a bandit in name only. He has a certain, if diminished, degree of selfishness, and shows no remorse for his history of criminal activity. While not one to ruin someone's life unprovoked, he has no qualms about stealing, kidnapping or otherwise severely inconveniencing strangers for his own gain, nor about killing his enemies. He is, in fact, quite violent at times, and can be truly vicious when personally angered. Even without provocation, his competitive nature can cause him to become a nuisance to others, such as deciding himself and Senel to be rivals and making a habit of challenging him for no reason other than wanting to outdo him.
Under his cheer and confidence, however, is a growing insecurity brought about by spending so long removed from his element. In the wilderness, he's brilliant and resourceful, and he's well versed in his tribe's legends and traditions. But the combination of his thick country accent, recklessness, and lack of knowledge that civilized people consider basic has led to him being consistently treated as though he's dumb, despite his journal keeping abilities proving he's more literate and articulate than even some of the formerly educated party members. Their constantly belittling his intelligence seems to get to him, as he claims he's not good at thinking while dealing with Giet being influenced by the Black Mist. This also suggests that he's sensitive to others' opinions, able to have his own self-image swayed by the way others treat him.
Despite this, however, he still shows remarkable self-awareness and emotional fortitude. While the Black Mist preyed on every other party member during their darkest hour, it never once managed to touch him, not even when he feared the worst for Giet. This shows a far healthier relationship with his own doubts and negative feelings than anyone else, as it means that he never reached a point where he thought it would be easier to give up than to face his fears. In fact, when he had to accept the truth that Giet really had turned aggressive, he also accepted the responsibility of stopping him. Though it was painful, he chose to accept that pain as a fact of life rather than a cause for despair.
POWERS/ABILITIES: As an Iron Eren, Moses has the ability to enhance physical attacks in ways that shouldn't be possible. While this mostly manifests as manipulating the trajectory or force of his projectile weapons, there are two notable exceptions: Wolf Strike (and the derivative Eres, Savage Wolf Strike), which creates bullets of light surrounding a target, and Wild Rain, which causes a single javelin to multiply and strike from multiple angles.
He can also combine his Eres into customizable attacks that can knock a target down at range, and do extra damage to specific types of enemies. Depending on the third Eres used, the attack also inflicts one of a range of temporary status effects: decreased intelligence, decreased casting speed, decreased accuracy, or sealed abilities.
Because of his Eres' ability to duplicate javelins, he has an unlimited supply of whatever weapons he has available.
All Erens can also enter a state called Climax Mode, which accelerates their bodies and senses to the point where time seems to be standing still. Though it only lasts a second, it provides a huge advantage in battle. This requires building up energy through fighting an enemy, but may still need further nerfing due to its extreme impact in a confrontation.
Due to his Sacred Eres, granted by the god of the sea, he can also use his power to dispel corruptive powers.
Unrelated to his Eres, he seems to have learned to understand the language of Galves, and can glean complex and detailed information from canine vocalizations and body language.
INVENTORY:Giet, the Grand Galf: A wolf-like creature of high animal intelligence, Giet rarely fights unless Moses is outnumbered. When he does, he uses a combination of Iron Eres to enhance the power of his bites and lunges, and Crystal Eres to conjure localized blizzards. He also has a distinct cunning, allowing him to lead other Galves and participate in or even come up with detailed strategies. As lore states his species to be of legendary power, he will have his destructive power vastly reduced.
Gungnir: A powerful javelin that slightly heals the user upon being used to defeat an enemy.
Body Paint: A bottomless inkwell made of squid ink and blessed water, and applied with a brush made from a unicorn horn and a tuft of Giet's fur. It generates a protective field around the wearer when used to paint special designs on the skin, and causes a slow regeneration of injuries.
Emperor's New Clothes: An invisible outfit that, when worn, it offers no physical defense but absorbs elemental attacks to heal the wearer. While Moses insists he can see it, to most people it appears as though he's naked when wearing it. This may need to be nerfed, due to rendering all non-physical attacks useless.
Extreme Symbol: Doubles the user's attack power and accuracy, but cuts their defense in half.
Persian Boots: Halves all damage to the wearer.
MOONBLESSING: Sanguis
